Paradise Valley is a town of large lots, long driveways, and houses ranging from mid-century estates to ground-up rebuilds. Electrically that means large services, long runs, and systems layered on across decades. Our electrical division page carries the full scope; this page narrows it to Paradise Valley.
Electrical service in Paradise Valley
The town is wrapped by Phoenix on one side and Scottsdale on the other, and neither neighbor tells you who serves your meter. Most of the town is APS territory and some of it is not, so the serving utility gets verified against the address before we touch the service. On lots this size the service entrance often sits a long way from the house, which makes the utility’s rules about meter location and its disconnect schedule part of the plan rather than a formality.
Permitting runs through the Town of Paradise Valley, not Phoenix and not Scottsdale, despite the geography. Service upgrades, panel changes, and new circuits are permitted and inspected work; a repair in kind generally is not. Exterior lighting and equipment placement draw real scrutiny in a town with essentially no street lighting and a hillside ordinance behind it, so we scope those before quoting rather than after.
What the town actually calls us for: whole-house rewire scope during down-to-studs remodels, structured wiring for audio, network, and control systems, landscape and security lighting on long runs, backup power for estates that expect to ride out a monsoon outage, and panels that ran out of room after three rounds of additions.
Paradise Valley housing stock and its wiring
The town’s oldest layer sits at the base of Camelback and Mummy Mountain: 1950s and 1960s desert-modern and ranch estates, many architecturally significant and none of them wired for how people live now. Original services were sized for a different set of appliances, some branch circuits date from the stretch when aluminum was standard, and Federal Pacific or Zinsco loadcenters still turn up behind cabinet doors. A down-to-studs remodel is the honest moment to fix all of it at once.
The 1970s and 1980s estates are copper and generally sound, but carry a different burden: decades of additions, guest houses, pool equipment, and low-voltage systems bolted onto a service that never grew. Those are load-calculation jobs.
New construction and full rebuilds are a different animal again, with multiple subpanels, structured wiring backbones, standby generators, and EV capacity designed in. Lot geometry drives cost on all of it, and the town’s one-acre minimum is why: feeders to a detached casita, guest house, or gate can run hundreds of feet, and trenching through caliche and granite at the mountain bases gets walked before it gets priced.
Dispatch and response in Paradise Valley
Paradise Valley is geographically easy and logistically particular. The town sits in the middle of our map, but a visit is shaped by gates, driveways long enough to matter, staff and property-manager schedules, and a real preference for privacy. We collect gate codes, access instructions, and who should be on site when the job is booked. Finding the address is its own problem here, since unlit private roads and deep setbacks put houses out of sight from the street, which is one more reason exterior work gets scheduled in daylight where we can. There is no Paradise Valley office and no showroom on our side, which we say plainly instead of renting an address to look local. Our HVAC division already works the town, so this is familiar ground. Paradise Valley electrical FAQs
We are taking the house down to the studs. How much of the wiring should be replaced?
That is decided on site, not on a form. With walls open we can see conductor type, insulation condition, box fill, grounding, and how the service is sized against the new floor plan. Mid-century estates often justify a full rewire; a 1990s house often needs targeted work plus a service upgrade. The scope gets written from what the open walls actually show.
Can you run power to a guest house and gate at the far end of the lot?
Yes, and voltage drop is what drives the design. Long feeders get sized up so the far end still sees usable voltage under load, and the route decides the rest: trench depth, conduit, and whether caliche or rock is in the way. We scope the whole run before quoting, including the subpanel at the far end.
Do you handle the wiring for whole-home audio, networking, and control systems?
We handle the electrical side and the structured cabling: line-voltage circuits, dedicated power for racks and equipment closets, conduit pathways, and low-voltage runs pulled to plan. Programming and commissioning of the control platform belongs to your integrator, and we coordinate directly with them so pathways and power land in the right places before drywall closes.
Permits and inspections
Most repairs are ordinary service work; bigger scopes can involve city permitting. We perform our work to code, pull the permits our scope requires, and put what we did in writing.
What's covered
Workmanship is covered for two full years, in writing, and repair parts carry a 1-year manufacturer parts warranty — we document installs and repairs so those claims stay simple to make
Why a licensed electrical contractor matters.
Phoenix metro: Most days a tech is already working somewhere in the Valley, so same-day appointments happen when the schedule allows. After-hours emergencies are dispatched when a licensed tech is available — a real person answers and tells you the ETA on the call.
