APS and SRP summer rate plans can reward shifting AC run time, but the house still has to shed heat. The one action that matters most is setting a realistic thermostat schedule before peak hours begin, then watching whether the system can recover without running nonstop.

What actually happens

Should I shut the AC off during peak hours?
